Happy 250th birthday to the United States of Palantir! I designed this on 35 USPS priority labels making a 26x28 inch canvas. My medium - alcohol markers and Posca pens. RABBIT RABBIT! Happy July to you all! It is with great honor to announce that I have been chosen to participate in and which also marks my very first time exhibiting with and believe me… I am over the moon with gratitude and excitement! The weekend after the event is a comic con in San Diego so Meeting of Styles got the honor and privilege to paint up various walls throughout the city of various themes of fiction and I am doing a mural for the cartoon wall in the National City district.. it’s a surprise but when I post it I hope I put a smile on your faces! I’m thankful for this opportunity and am excited to visit California for the first time in 13 years! Onward and upward, it’s time to grease the wheels of the Lace CreationZ train! 🙌🙏

So I got to say as someone who has many dreams and goals as an artist the ultimate one is finding a way to become a full time artist. As I currently have to work around a full time job to make time for making my art along with making content to post and promote it can be exhausting and overstimulating at times trying to fit in time for everything since TikTok allegedly pushes peoples’ videos more if they post like 5x a day every single day.. but I don’t feel as if I have the time for that and it would exhaust me having to make the content and find all that time for posting 5x each day when I got to make my art and work. So yeah the pressure of promoting yourself on social media are real because full time artists don’t have to work around a 9-5 job and thus have far more time to promote themselves all across the internet. That all being said I still do the best I can and hope content creation eventually pays off in the best ways possible.

Rest is important and everyone needs it but then when the unhealthy comparison traps of social media come into play when you compare yourself to others and you see full time artists with big followings getting to promote more and produce more art sometimes I can’t help but feel as if I’m not doing enough or I’m dishonoring myself as an artist… but I have to learn to block those negative thoughts out of my mind and try to think positively. Our minds can be our greatest ally or our greatest enemy and it’s important I train my brain to be my greatest ally. I wanted to take the time to post this because I’ve been thinking about this stuff a lot lately. Nonetheless I’ll keep the Lace CreationZ train rolling even if it feels like I’m stuck on the tracks like the train I took from Milan to Paris that broke down for hours, LOL. Positivity is half of success they say so I’ll keep taking each day to make my dreams of full-time artistry a reality even if one day is perhaps a baby step rather than a huge leap. Onwards and upwards! 🙏
