Bernat’s Mist-ical line has been a favorite of mine for a long time now, but these guys were my first time using the color Spearmint!

Kind of obsessed with Jumbo Reese 😍

Reese the Mini Reef Octopus made with Bernat Extra Thick yarn (same size as Bernat Big) turns him into a jumbo cuddle buddy! See him next to Reese, Remi, and Rocco (my three reef octopus pattern sizes) in regular Bernat Blanket yarn to compare the sizing. 🤯

The size difference of using a different yarn always amazes me! If you make a jumbo version of Reese, Remi, or even Rocco, I want to see it!

Reese took a little over half a skein of Bernat Extra Thick to complete, so you would need two skeins if using Bernat Big. I just used my hands to crochet this big guy, but highly recommend getting a big hook (probably 13-15 mm?) to make it easier on your hands.

Let me know if you want a finished Jumbo Reese! I’ll only be making a few of these guys.
