One of the coolest parts of owning a small business is realizing people take a little piece of home with them when they leave. ❤️

These orders are headed out to customers who moved away from Clarksburg, WV… but still want their Sudsberry. 🫧📦

There’s just something special about hearing, “I missed your soap,” or “Nothing else compares.” It honestly means more than y’all probably realize.

What started as making soap at home has turned into products finding their way into homes all over the country, and I’ll never stop being grateful for that. 🥹

Thank you for supporting our little business, whether you shop in store, at the farmers market, online, or from states away. You all are the reason this dream keeps growing. ❤️

Back to reality after a holiday weekend. 💚

One thing people don’t always see behind the scenes of small business life… after every farmers market, we have to come back and completely restock and reorganize the shop because we pull inventory straight from our shelves for market days. 😂

Bins everywhere. Soap everywhere. Controlled chaos everywhere. 💁‍♀️

But we’re so thankful for every single person who supports us at the market and in the shop. Y’all keep us busy, and we truly wouldn’t have it any other way. 🫶

I wouldn’t have been able to pull the past couple markets off without my people volunteering alongside me! 🥰💚

Hi, my name is Leah Michael and I am the owner of Sudsberry and the Clarksburg Farmers Market Coordinator. 💚

This year, I officially became a board member of the Clarksburg Farmers Market and presented my ideas for helping grow and improve the market experience for both vendors and our community. When I was given the opportunity to step into the Market Coordinator role, I truly ran with it. 🌱

I’ve been part of farmers markets for 8 years as a vendor, so I know firsthand how important it is to create a vibrant, welcoming, and organized environment where small businesses, farmers, makers, and families can thrive together.

Since stepping into this role, I’ve been coordinating vendors, food trucks, musicians, community organizations, market layouts, sponsorships, and all social media marketing for the market. 🙌

Danielle Bailey deserves a huge shoutout as well. She organized a full list of children’s activities for our Sprout Spot each week and has also volunteered to help with setup and tear down every Saturday. 👏💚

A huge thank you also goes to my fiancé for getting up bright and early every weekend to help haul tables, set up tents, and handle tear down afterward, and to my mom, whose business, Budget Blinds of North Central West Virginia , has generously sponsored live music and our Gather Spot for the community. 💚

Bill Yoke our market Treasurer also has been a helping hand with setup which has been so appreciated! 🫶

And honestly, getting my 13 year old up at 6am to help work in a parking lot before most people are even awake feels like a pretty big parenting win to me. 💪💚 He’s learning the value of volunteering, community involvement, and how showing up for others can make a real impact.

Seeing the community come out and support local each week makes all of the hard work worth it. I truly appreciate our community for supporting us so much and for giving me the opportunity to help grow this market into what I believe can reach its full potential. 🌿💚

Today was SO much fun! ❤️

I had the opportunity to speak to the 5th graders at West Milford Elementary about entrepreneurship and how I turned Sudsberry from a simple idea into a real business. 🛁✨

We talked about:
🖤 creativity
🖤 branding
🖤 hard work
🖤 believing in yourself
🖤 turning ideas into something people love

The students got to design their own soap creations, learn what a “brand” is, and see how businesses can start from something as simple as a passion or hobby. Their creativity was AMAZING! 🎨🫧

Thank you so much to West Milford Elementary for inviting Sudsberry to Career Day! It was an honor to spend the morning with your future entrepreneurs.
