💙Statement top time! With the weather finally warming up above 60 here in TN--it's time to get ready for some statement tops and pieces for warmer weather!

💙I love a GOOD cotton! Knits for comfort and wovens for good stability. Here is why I'm loving this GORG blue versatile top!

✨It reminds me of Penny in Dirty Dancing (please tell me I'm not the only one that channeled her dance moves in this top)
✨I LOVE the blue mixed with varying shades of blush, lilac, and flecks of gold
✨Can be worn on shoulders or off shoulders (remember- channeling Penny!)
✨Great with a pair of jeans for Spring and shorts when it's warmer
✨No need for tanks underneath
✨Loose at waist and arms (sun burns or taco night 🙌)

So we saw some Menswear-inspirations on the Red Carpet... And I sti get chilly when it's 60 degrees-- so thought I would share some Menswear-inspired jackets 🙌

Some things to look for:

🧥 Shaping that frames the female body
🧥Color- yes-- there are color differences even if they're subtle
🧥 Pockets- a MUST HAVE!

Jean talk, ladies!!!

We all have THE style that we love the most... Well this Spring- I've been floored with 2️⃣ that are my FAVS!!!!!

If you haven't noticed- the trend for jeans is FLARE and boyfriend cut (hallelujah!) -- however-- I still love a good skinny!!

Some features YOU need to be on the lookout for when you grab your pair(s):
👖COLOR: lighter wash and distressed is very IN-- especially for summer
👖CUT: Flare? Bell? Skinny? Boyfriend- each offers a unique style to wear them. I personally like a flare with a tighter top & a skinny with a looser top... Boyfriend goes with it all!
👖RISE: high rise to the belly button? Loooooow rise? Regular?-- play around with what is most comfortable for you and your body shape. All of us are shaped different (esp after having kiddos!) So some might prefer really low to not press on C-section tummies while others like them high to hold everything in
👖 DETAILS: destressed? Button fly? Undone hem? Ribbon detail? Cuffed? Totally plain to be a baseline? This is where I like to have some options-- I love my high-waister jeans bc they are a great baseline palette for my outfit-- then I like my exposed button & undone hem to add some style!

🍀Sláinte!!!🍀

Started the day off with a ride (no green on..shame on me!) --- followed up by surprise green milk for the kids 🤪🤣

Thhhheeeennn was at the school all day and was thoroughly questioned by many Elementary kiddos about the green status of my shirt 🤣 (the other poor sole is our SRO who is obviously in uniform that doesn't contain green 🤣)

So does my sage green shirt pass the test for you guys?!? Come on fellow moms... It IS green! Nothing says it has to be Kelly green! 🤪

And for all of you....

T-shirt Monday (seems more fitting for Tuesday... But I wore a t-shirt today so here we are 🤣)

Ok- let's talk Tees!!! Anyone else love them as much as me?! Are you as picky as I am?! GIVE ME COTTON and nothing else 😬

Here are some of my fav Ts and WHY!

1️⃣COLOR: ladies-- get a GOOD color! Don't like yellow tones? Skip 'cream' And look for more off-white (yes-- there is a difference!!)

2️⃣CUT: loose? Super tight? In between--- do what YOU like!! I personally don't like super tight fitting.. and super loose... Example-i sized down in my shirt bc I wanted it slimmer. But I also like a straight-fit!

3️⃣ DETAILS: I personally like variety... I want a classic shirt with no details but I also want some on hand with extra snazz-- pockets- extra cuff- pleating on back-- extra seams etc

4️⃣ NECKLINE: V- Scoop- straight- boatneck.... I love a slight V but not a deep V (my preference)-- and not a huge fan of boatneck for my shape and smaller chest--- but I DO love a Scoop- straight- slight V! Look at the differences on your body and see what's flattering AND comfortable!!!!!

FriYaY!! I wasn't planning to post about Blazers today....

BUT- I threw this on for all the drop offs and grocery run and BIG event at the school tonight...

Then I out in stories and thought I'd share my thoughts here 😂😂😂

You know menswear us BIG right now!!! I've showed you the Safari style jacket and old school blazer already--- but this style is a category of its own!!

The SWEATSHIRT fabric- blazer!!!!! Ok... What you need to look for when you shop for this style:
✨ Knit fabric-- durable with comfort!
✨ Structure- this will look frumpy if you don't have built-in structure (waist seams- good cuffs- vertical seams- structured pockets)
✨Color- get one that pops- I like a go/to like cream (not a fan of black) or BRIGHT and different!
✨ Variety- can you wear it with comfy joggers? With dress pants? Jeans? Think through this in your brain

Hump day fav! COLOR!!! Guys.... Don't just snag any color item!!! Don't waste your time and moola!!

Find GOOD, rich, beautiful colors that make your skin glow and eyes sparkle!!! I'm *picky* on colors for my peeps and will be honest if something isn't the best for them 😬 (honesty is trust, my friends!)

GREEN is one of those colors-- pick one with deep jewel tones that doesn't wash you out--- and looks good with multiple bottoms/sweaters/jackets!!!

Personally- I love this deep jade/sage that works great with deep blues and creams!

Tuesday Tip: sweats that double for everyday! 🙌 And I LOVE a good sweatpant with gorgeous color!!!!!!!!

Ok... Truth time... I personallycan't get on the matching train... I love a good jogger... I love a good sweat top... But just can't do both together.... I prefer to have some variation and mixing of texture..sweats with a tee and Jean jacket--- sweatshirt with jeans--- sweatpants with extra style and flare to wear with a fancy top 🥰

What about you? Do you like matchy-matchy?? Or have some variation??

🔵Good by itself
🔵Canadian Tuxedo (wear with jeans)
🔵Good color to pair with lots (and looks good on akotnof skin tones)
🔵 Fantastic weight and texture (you know I'm about texture!)
