Saturday January 10, 2026 is our next chapter meeting. The door will open at 9 am and we will stay until noonish.
The community service program is Dresses for Girls. Jennifer Woodburn will facilitate the dresses that are made with a pattern. Celine Beers will lead those that want to learn how to make a dress with a tee shirt and yardage.
Patterns will be available at the meeting for the t-shirt dress. Here is the good news. Fabric and t-shirt will be provided. Do one with the donated supplies and make more at home with your own fabrics. There are three machines at the center first come first serve. Bring a neutral thread, rotary cutter, acrylic ruler. Also a pair of fabric scissors will be helpful.

Don't forget the show and tell. (it doesn't have to be finished

Tonight’s meeting was full of wonderful show and tell projects.

Alice shared her quilts, Jennifer shared her recycled Jean purses and her small quilt made with her Uncle’s ties, and Nina shared her quilt that was a block swap.👍

Great job ladies!

Monday, January 5 630 to 830 at the clay senior center .This month and next we will be working on quilts for the kids at McMahon Ryan. Last year we did vertical strips in our quilts. I think that this year we should go around and around a middle block. I have pictures to show you and I am bringing my two containers of scraps. I have one smallish bag of blocks left from last year if anyone would like to use them. If you want to use a middle block in your quilt I will have some available for everyone. Backings will also be ready for you. Because these quilts go to McMahon Ryan we won't be using batting. I will also be bringing in some yardage that can be used in your quilts. You may want to work with a friend. This Monday you will need cutting utensils (scissors and/or rotary cutters). We have cutting mats there as well as five machines and two ironing boards with irons. I'm looking forward to Monday night. Making quilts for kids is always a rewarding project. If you have any questions text me - 315-427-1349. Alice
