September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. đź’›

ANKOR was born from a story of strength, resilience, faith, and a little girl who taught us that even in the darkest nights, there can still be light.

Loren is a childhood cancer survivor. While cancer is part of her story, it is not the story that defines her.

Loren is brave. She is a fierce advocate for her Down syndrome community. Loren loves to sing, read, and worship Jesus.

This is why we believe in creating pieces that carry meaning—little reminders of what we’ve been through, what we’ve overcome, and Who held us through it all.

This September, we remember the children still fighting, celebrate every survivor, and honor those who fought before them—your courage and stories will never be forgotten. 🤍

A stranger stopped me and said, “I love your earrings.” 🤍

I smiled as I shared the story behind them.

These earrings were inspired by my daughter, Loren, and her extra chromosome—a daily reminder that every life is beautifully and intentionally made.

The three gold fringe charms represent the three copies of chromosome 21 present in individuals with Down syndrome.

And because meaningful can also be fun, you can mix and match them with our pearl charms to create your own look. ✨

June is National Cancer Survivor Month, and for our family, it’s deeply personal.

Before Loren inspired ANKOR, she inspired us with her courage. As a childhood cancer survivor, she reminds us every day that hope is stronger than fear and that every moment is a gift.

Through your purchase of select ANKOR pieces, we are honored to fund childhood cancer research and survivorship through our support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

We just restocked our custom Cross + Pearl Bracelets at Wonderfully Made Clothing Co. — a boutique that supports and employs individuals with Down syndrome, like our Loren.

As a mom and founder of ANKOR, this one feels personal. Creating pieces with meaning and seeing them in a space that celebrates the gifts, talents, and value of individuals with Down syndrome is a special and treasured gift. Andrea and Ruthie, thank you for cultivating this space and reminding us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
