I’ve waited 30 years for this moment. As a kid, I’d race home from school just to catch reruns of The Brady Bunch. It wasn’t just my favorite show—it shaped so much of what I love today. The staircase, the warm wood tones, the unmistakable charm of 70s home decor… that’s where it all began for me.

I’ve always dreamed of visiting the Brady house someday. But yesterday, something just as special happened—I got to meet Christopher Knight, who played Peter, my longtime favorite.

Over the years, I’ve followed his work and even his furniture career, so this felt like such a special moment. I brought along my Brady Bunch cookbook—already signed by Ann B. Davis—and had him add his signature too, which makes it even more meaningful.

He asked if I’ve ever made anything from it, and I had to laugh and admit… no. It lives on display in my 70s kitchen, right where it belongs 🥰

It was an absolute dream come true to meet him!

For Christmas, the one thing I truly wanted was to finally get an electrician in to start tackling our long-awaited projects — and I was so grateful that phase one became our gift. I couldn’t be happier.

We found a beautiful 1970s chandelier with a matching kitchen light. We installed the chandelier ourselves, but the kitchen fixture sat patiently in the basement for over a year since there was no overhead lighting wired for it.

It finally happened. The kitchen light is up, several other fixtures were updated, the backyard floodlight was replaced, and a tangle of confusing old switch wiring was sorted out. After 11 years of making do, it’s such a relief to have it all working the way it should.

The kitchen is bright and welcoming now, and I love how true these lights feel to the home’s original era. Even better — our electrician appreciated the plan to keep things faithful to the house’s time period withouth thinking I was a loon. 🤪 That meant a lot. 🧡

Four years ago, I took a simple love for old things and turned it into something I never could’ve imagined. What started as selling a few vintage pieces has grown into managing auction groups, shipping treasures all over the country, and working alongside some of the best people I’ve ever known. The friendships built through this little business of mine have become such a blessing.

Having a booth at the Copper Kettle Antique Mall has been another highlight—there’s something special about seeing pieces find their way to new homes right here in our community.

A few milestones that make me smile:
📦 1,035 packages shipped
👥 499 auction group customers (not counting FB Marketplace, eBay, Etsy, or the antique mall!)
🌎 Shipped to every U.S. state except Hawaii, Vermont, and Rhode Island — first sale to one of those states gets a little discount 😉
📍 My top shipping states:

1. Texas

2. Florida

3. Ohio

4. North Carolina

5. California

I’m grateful every day for the support, the friendships, and the chance to share pieces of the past with people who love them as much as I do. Here’s to year four… and all that’s ahead. 🤍

Father's Day cook-out means baked beans in this groovy crock pot 🌼 This beauty is made by Montgomery Ward in the 70s.

I love that the crock is removable which makes it so much easier to clean. I have an orange one that was my mom's that is one piece and it's much harder to clean.

I also love anything from Montgomery Ward! My grandma retired from the corporate offices and we shopped their all the time when I was a kid since she got a lifetime discount! So many shopping memories! 🧡

🛍️✨ Step inside a time capsule of mall culture! ✨🛍️

From mid-century shopping centers to the neon-soaked malls of the 80s and 90s, the American mall wasn’t just a place to buy things—it was a way of life.

🎤 Remember mall concerts with pop stars?
🕹️ Spending hours in the arcade?
👗 Trying on outfits at Contempo Casuals?
🍕 Food court pizza with friends?

Malls shaped generations—and their legacy is still alive today. Take a nostalgic stroll through the rise, reign, and (almost) fall of the American mall in our latest blog post.
