I miss you already...

Hi There,

I hope you’re doing well!

I’m have opened up registration for The Upcycle Sewing Workshop, which will begin on Wednesdays starting June 3rd from 6pm to 8:30 pm. There are 6 sessions and classes will take place at The South Euclid Library.

But - Before the ball starts rolling - I wanted to reach out to you first.

It’s going to be a hands-on workshop focused on moving past the basics—really diving into how to completely take apart and redesign existing garments into deconstructed custom pieces.

Because we’ll be working on more complex reconstruction projects, I’m keeping this group very small and capping it at just 5 people so everyone gets plenty of one-on-one time with me.

Since you’ve taken a class with me before, I am saving these slots for my returning students first before opening the remaining spaces to the general public.

Take a Sewing Class!

Hi There,

I wanted to share a quick update with you.

While my physical studio has closed, one thing hasn’t changed — people continue to come to me for sewing lessons. And honestly, I’m grateful for that.

For over 30 years, teaching sewing has been a constant in my life, and that didn’t stop when the space changed. If anything, it opened the door for more flexible, more focused ways to learn.

I currently offer private, one-on-one sewing lessons, available online and in person by appointment. These sessions are designed around your goals — whether you’re a beginner, returning to sewing, or ready to work on garments, alterations, or upcycling projects.

If learning to sew (or getting back to it) has been on your mind, this might be your sign to start.

I tried to stay away from The Devil Wears Prada 2…
but curiosity got the best of me.

I knew I wanted to see it before my timeline filled up with opinions and spoilers.

The last few weeks have been challenging, so I needed a moment to do nothing—
to clear my head and reset.

After my last client, I saw a gap in my schedule, put on something chic, and made my way to the theater.

This solo date was a reminder of why I love fashion.
Like any art form, it brings people together.

The room had a quiet excitement—
a few couples, but mostly fashion people…
(you know we recognize each other)
all curious to see what this film would deliver after all these years.

I appreciated the direction they took with the story.
Like the original, it gave us something we didn’t even realize we needed.

Visually? Chef’s kiss.

Classic silhouettes blended with high fashion and beautiful scenery.
A true treat for the artist in me.

There were a few moments that felt a bit over the top—
likely to appeal to a younger audience.

I always stay for the credits…
and this time, others did too—taking it all in.

Score: B-

I was pleasantly surprised and would absolutely see it again—
perfect for a girls’ day out after brunch.

During the segment, I’ll be talking about how wardrobe designers transform everyday clothing into film characters. I’ll also demonstrate how simple garments can be styled and adjusted to become camera-ready looks.
