Confessions: I'm new at this, and I have this uncanny ability to doubt myself and my abilities. Sometimes (a lot of times) it causes me to put off completing a project because it's easier to say that I never got around to it instead of, I tried my best and I failed.

Well, that ends today! There is no shame in failure. There is only learning and trying again. So, here's to a new year, new projects, new failures, and far more successes than if I were to never begin!

I am usually a firm believer in no Christmas decorations prior to Thanksgiving or even Dec 1. BUT since 2020 is the year that keeps on giving, the fam and I decided that we would put up our decorations just a little early this year. The tree is beautiful, the lights are downright aggressive (seriously it looks like the light shooter from The Grinch Movie exploded in my house), the kids are happy, and every morning for the next 31 days, I need to explain why Santa didn't come yet. Tis the Season!

Mid-week check in! How’s everyone doing? My family is prepping for a possible lockdown after Thanksgiving. So, what better way to prepare than to take back some of the space in my house?! I’m not quite done. But I do like our progress this far! (And so do my cats)!

I've decided to take a leap and start to honor my creative side. I am having so much fun creating and learning as I go. Pictured is one of my more recent holiday creations.
