UNO Math Mat is available for free on my TpT page! 🎉

This hands-on activity makes learning math fun by using materials you already have at home. With plenty of space to solve and write out equations, kids can work through problems independently while building confidence in their math skills.

The best part? It’s easily customizable for different learning levels, making it perfect for siblings learning side by side! ❤️

Finding a learning resource that can be used with all THREE of my kids isn’t always easy 😅

That’s why this customizable UNO math mat has been such a win in our house! Each child can work at their own level while still feeling included in the activity — and that’s a huge mama win in my book 😎

Layla is currently working on basic addition skills, which is what you see here! I specifically designed this setup with plenty of room for little learners to work out problems hands-on using materials we already had around the house.

One thing I’ve learned on our homeschool/play-based learning journey is that simple activities often create the most meaningful learning moments 💛

This activity encourages:
✨ Number recognition
✨ Counting skills
✨ Simple addition practice
✨ Independent problem solving
✨ Hands-on learning through play

And of course… adding UNO cards instantly makes everything more exciting 😂

Layla doesn’t always enjoy a simple hear-and-write session when it comes to practicing her high frequency words 😅

Thankfully, I came across this super fun way to practice, and it instantly made learning feel more like play than schoolwork!

We used:
✨ Clear container and cup
✨ Water with black paint mixed in (and glitter optional)
✨ CVC Word list (in comments)
✨ Writing material (optional)

How we played:

Place word list under the glass container. Fill the container halfway with water, mix in black paint, and add star shaped glitter. Let your LO push the clear cup gently to displace the water revealing the word below. We chose to read it, then write it.

🚀 Not only did it keep her engaged, but it also helped build confidence while practicing sight words in a hands-on way 🌌
