A little life update, but more importantly, a lesson I’m still learning.
Life is pretty freaking fabulous right now. I’m back in Cocoa Beach. I’m rebuilding my goals, coaching, working, doing photography, reconnecting with friends, meeting new people and even dating again.
And I still struggle sometimes.
I’m still learning how to feel completely safe being alone in my own home. I’m still recognizing old patterns. I’m still learning when staying busy is something I genuinely enjoy and when it’s actually a way of escaping an uncomfortable feeling.
That’s the part of healing we don’t always talk about.
Growth doesn’t mean anxiety, loneliness, fear or old patterns never show up again. Sometimes growth is simply recognizing them sooner and choosing a different response.
Breathe. Journal. Move your body. Give yourself ten minutes before reacting. Find something that moves your life forward instead of something that only gives you temporary relief.
My mind knows I’m safe. My body is still learning.
And I’m learning to give it time.
You can love the life you’ve built and still be healing inside of it. Both things can be true.
