Imagine you’re at dinner on a lake and the band rips into this and jams in and out of songs unexpectedly

Entered a real flow during the second set last weekend and ended up here during Not Afraid with Daydream Fountain

Had a blast, will likely post more clips because it cracks me up to imagine people chilling and then suddenly we hit an explosive part of the set

I’d like to use this post to highlight a track off of my album that I think is beautiful. It doesn’t have the high energy of waking up on a beautiful day or the melody to get stuck in your head like perspective, but it has a lot of heart .

Sonder by Reckless Barb
A song about the feeling of realizing everyone else you interact with has an intricate inner world just as vast as yours. That feeling in the moment of realization is Sonder. And i feel very grateful for it, and for everyone having their lives.

The concept comes thru as a love song. As it is about that feeling, it is also about the love of my life too. A duality of appreciation.

I feel like the opening lines really sum a lot of life up for me too:

I don’t know what’s going on, I just know that I’m here

I’ve Just Seen A Face

If you’ve heard the original, you know I took this in a very different direction.

This gives the story of a man interacting with masks, until he see the face. The one that begins his journey to love and universal understanding. If you can extract anything like that from the visual, you may be on the wave as well

Reflecting on the love and beauty of my partner and how she elegantly reflects the best of the universe

was blown away at the concept of honoring J Dilla at Proctors and how cool that was, floored by live performance and creative direction, got the shoutout from the boys and was ultimately surprised when I
walked into the room and they were playing my song Series of Days, tripped me out to hear my track (a strange one lol) at Proctors
