My client, Michelle, made this quilt for her daughter, Sandy. She embroidered encouraging Bible verses on blocks and used vibrantly colored batik fabrics to surround them. Quilted with an e2e digital design called "Jessie's Swirls" with a light purple thread called "Amethyst". Great job, Melissa!

Work last week started with this beautiful vintage Lonestar quilt! My client, Allison Eyler, has a business called Throw Midland. She rescues vintage quilt tops and has them quilted to resell at places like the Round Top Antiques Fair. She also searches out finished vintage quilts and has them made into gorgeous jackets and vests. So fun!

I used an edge-to-edge digital quilting design called "Fabulous Feathers" to add texture and cover as many seams as I could on this older quilt. Finished it off with a vintage reproduction fabric for the binding - white with purple flowers. Lots of steam and starch went into getting this beauty to lay down flat and some creative squaring went into the final product. I'm very pleased with the results!

Finished the second quilt of the year on Saturday. This is a beautiful black and white quilt using the Twister ruler. I’ve always wanted to make one - even have the rulers. I’ll put it on my future projects list, which is already very long!

Mary did a wonderful job on this scrappy quilt and chose the digital edge-to-edge design, Ginger Snap with Glide Cool Grey thread to finish it. Love her choice of fabric for the border - black and white with just a touch of red! ❤️

First customer quilt of the New Year! Beautiful green backing on Scrappy Cross quilt by Lisa. I used the Wood Grain edge to edge quilting design and quilted it with a Glide thread called Thyme. Love how it finished! I’m off to load the next quilt!

I had a nice visit with Linda and Amy Averett of Ranch Craft Retreat today. Their new quilting and crafting retreat is located just about four miles down the county road from my quilting studio.

Beautiful, quiet location with exceptional facilities! Check out their website and page and swing by this weekend for their Open House!

There’s been an exciting change at Kelly’s Quilting Corner! As of Tuesday, May 3rd I will be operating my business back at Silver Valley (12 miles north of Coleman off Hwy. 84). We have been busy renovating a building on our property and my family is so happy to have me at home again!

To all of the wonderful folks that have supported my small business while I was in town I would like to say a huge THANK YOU! It was fun ( and exhausting), to try out the retail end of the quilting industry and I have met some of the nicest people in the world over the last year.

My main goal for moving my business to town was to attract more longarm quilting customers and I have met - and exceeded - that goal. Thanks so much to all of you who continue to trust me with your treasures - I truly enjoy working on all of your beautiful quilts!

I will be concentrating on my longarm quilting business in my new location so my hours will be by appointment but if you’ve ever stopped by the shop you know I love to visit!

I know many people who came into the shop were interested in taking classes - especially beginning quilting classes. I love this idea and still would like to make it a reality one day. I will have to see what God has planned for me in the future!

I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Dave and Julie Shaw for helping my husband and I move over the last two days - it was a massive job and we couldn’t have done it without them!

I’d also like to thank Cameron and Jenny Hanson for being such easy to work with and gracious landlords. It was truly a privilege to be able to run a business out of your beautiful building!

If anyone has questions concerning my move I can be contacted at my same business number of (325) 636-8774.

Welcome to Kelly’s Quilting Corner!

My name is Kelly Corder and I’m the owner of Kelly’s Quilting Corner. I’ve been an avid quilter for many years and began longarm quilting when I started this business in 2010. I was a dealer for Handi Quilter for several years and currently quilt on a Handi Quilter Fusion with a 26” throat space.

I offer edge to edge freemotion and simple custom quilting as well as a binding service. Additionally, I create t-shirt and memory quilts, quilts made from Crown Royal bags and special request quilts for baby showers, weddings, and family reunions. I love all things vintage and especially enjoy finishing quilts that people bring me that “Granny Sue” or “Aunt Flossie” made and need to quilted.

You can find examples of the quilting designs that I offer and pictures of quilts I’ve quilted and created under the photos section. Thank you for visiting my page. If you’d like to keep up with what’s happening around the shop, please like and share this page!
