Roadrunner Little League is headed to the 2026 Junior League Baseball World Series after winning the Southwest Regional Championship.

The Albuquerque team went undefeated in the Southwest Region Tournament, finishing its run with a 10-2 win over Texas East in the championship game.

This is a historic achievement. According to the Albuquerque Journal, Roadrunner is just the third New Mexico team in roughly the last 70 years to earn a spot in the Junior League Baseball World Series.

Roadrunner will represent the Southwest Region at the Junior League Baseball World Series, held August 9–16 in Taylor, Michigan. The team is scheduled to open tournament play on Monday, August 10, against the winner of the East Region and Michigan District 5 matchup.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, families, and everyone who helped make this incredible run possible. Good luck as you represent Albuquerque and New Mexico on the world stage.
