Did you know that spending time in the water can make a noticeable difference?
Swimming is one of the most effective natural ways to support your lymphatic system.
If your chest, shoulder, or arm feels heavy after breast surgery, or swelling has become part of your everyday life, you are not alone. Even long after surgery, lymph flow can still be affected.
The natural pressure of the water works similarly to gentle lymphatic drainage and helps lymph fluid move through the body. At the same time, movement in the water is easier, and takes pressure off your body.
That’s why swimming can be a soothing way to support your lymphatic system and do something good for your body.
Do you have questions about lymphedema, or would you like to share your experience? We’d love to hear from you in the comments or in a private message.
