Just got notification that Karen’s and Oliver’s headstones are ready to be shipped this week and will arrive in Houston in about 35 days. Then, they will be picked up at the port of Houston and taken and put in place in our family cemetery. I’m so happy with how they’ve turned out. 😍

Well, the day is soon arriving. Tomorrow will be Karen’s (Karen Diana Hare’s) Karen Diana Parisot memorial service in Texas, where she grew up. It will go live here on my Facebook and will also be live on the “Vidor Nazarene Church” Facebook site at 2 PM CST on Saturday, June 24, 2023. For those attending the memorial service in person it will be at Vidor Church of the Nazarene, 370 N DeWitt in Vidor, Texas 77662. I truly hope to see as many of you as is possible there.

My deceased husband’s best friend, Allen Beck, who owns AKOR Services, has part of his business doing T-Shirts and Fundraising. He has designed a T-shirt as a Memorial for Karen (Karen Diana Parisot Help Karen Fight Cancer), but also as a fundraiser for her 5 living children. We are finally up to $650, but there's a long way to go to be able to help my 5 precious grandchildren to be "overcomers" after all the tragic losses they have experienced from the loss of their baby brother to SIDS 6 years ago, the mental breakdown of their mom who had had a successful business, the breakup of the family, her downward spiral into alcohol and drugs ultimately losing custody of 4 of her 5 children, before finally getting clean and coming back into and establishing a new loving relationship with her children only to be diagnosed with a fast moving cervical cancer that metastasized causing her death on April 30th. There is so much more of the tragedy that could never be filled into the blanks in this brief update that has been absolutely heartbreaking for these 5 dear children. However, I hope and pray that you can see this grandmother's heart for all of her grandchildren with the prayer and hope that GoFundMe and "you" can help them to build and ultimately have a better life, and then themselves have true hope for an extremely better future. Thank you all for caring for and loving my beautiful grandchildren who are now ages 6 months, 2 1/2 years, 6 years, 9 years, and 12 years. Hey! Hey! We are up to $650 on the GoFundMe for Karen Diana Parisot’s 5 beautiful children ages 6 mos, 2 1/2 yrs, 6 yrs, 9 yrs, and age 12. I was looking at what it takes per year to raise a child and good old Google says that in 2022 it was between $15,438 and $17,375 per child and the average cost of college per child using current 2023 rates is $25,707 per year or $102,828 for 4 years in a public 4-year in-state institution or $54,501 per year or $218,004 for 4 years in a private non-profit university. Obviously, the 2023 rates for raising a child will be far greater now due to the downturn of the economy and will keep on rising. Additionally, the cost of college will continue to rise by the time these 5 dear children reach college age. Please consider the loss of their dear mother who can no longer work and help provide any monies toward their future needs in annual or college support and share this everywhere. These children are grieving the loss of their mother greatly and we can’t bring her back into their precious lives, but together we can make a huge difference for their future. Thank you all so much for loving and caring about my wonderful grandchildren.

This is Karen’s mom, Judy Burge Hare. Everything is finally beginning to come together for the memorial service for my daughter, Karen Diana Parisot, Karen Diana Hare (Boughan), in SE Texas. It will be at 2 PM on Saturday, June 24th at Vidor Church of the Nazarene, 370 N DeWitt, Vidor, TX 77662. We had to wait until after her kids were out of school for the summer and her oldest daughter had graduated from middle school, so we’re doing it the next weekend after that. That’s the reason for the delay. I know it’s in the middle of summer and some of you will have conflicts. No matter what I’ve tried to do to accommodate everyone it’s just impossible and for that I’m so sorry. I hope to see as many of her friends and family as possible there at the memorial service.

For those of you that are afraid to come to Vidor, because of past history, and things that happened at the turn of the century into the early 1900s and remember a lot of the past echoing rumors through the years, please don’t let that keep you from coming. I promise that you will be safe in the church there. There’s nothing to fear. You will have plenty of love and protection. Don’t let the past keep you from celebrating Karen’s life, please. You will be in a Christian setting and will not be harassed for color, beliefs. You will be welcomed with open arms and love in Christ.
