Hi everyone, I wasn't going to post this because I hoped that everything would go smoothly and I wouldn't need to take more than 2-3 months off. We'll it didn't go to plan. I had a major reconstruction done on my shoulder. It was far worse than expected. I was in the sling for 8 weeks, just recently came out of it. I am now non weight bearing for another 8 weeks and we will see after that how it goes. So all that means that I likely will not be able to sew until after May. I hate having to take so much time off, but I have to let this heal well for the future.
If you have urgent needs I can give you a few names, I do not know them personally and have not seen their work. However they come recommended by many on facebook. So just shoot me a message. If it is something that can wait until summer then please check in with me in May.

I wanted to let you all know that I had shoulder surgery this past Friday. Because of the extent of the damage that my shoulder has, the surgery ended up being more complex. So, I will not be able to sew until the end of March. It is possible I will be able to do some hand sewing and other crafts. Please feel free to contact me for any questions, or to see if I am able to help you with your projects.

This is my oldest daughter. She loved this dress, but I was probably 3 sizes too small. It was the only one we found that she really loved. So to make it fit I took out the zipper and added a corset back. You can get a lot of extra space with a corset back. It turned out so pretty.

Wedding season is here!!
I love altering wedding dresses. I get a lot of joy seeing brides feeling beautiful and like their dress fits just right.
I wanted to share a special bride I am working with. She is a slender girl and sometimes that means special alteration to make the dress fit just right. We want to make the back of the dress fit just right. To do that I am going to take in a small amount in a diamond shape. This will help the fabric lay nicely and give her more shape.
