We’re proud to celebrate 11 years of Family Focus Eyecare alongside Retuva Medical Spa and Nova Design Center on June 18 from 3:00–7:00 PM.

This special event will feature raffles, light refreshments, scratcher ticket discounts, a frame show, and our “Dunk-a-Doc” dunk tank fundraiser.

A portion of event proceeds will support Global First Responders, a local nonprofit close to the hearts of Dr. Rich and Dr. Goddard.

Allergy season can be brutal on your eyes, but a few simple habits can make a big difference. If your eyes are itchy, red, or irritated, here’s what to avoid, and what to do instead:

🚫 Don’t rub your eyes
Rubbing might feel like quick relief, but it actually makes irritation worse by releasing more histamines.
✔️ Do this instead: Use a clean, cold compress to calm inflammation.

🚫 Don’t wear your contacts longer than recommended
Contacts can trap allergens against your eye and increase discomfort.
✔️ Do this instead: Switch to glasses on high pollen days or consider daily replacement contact lenses.

🚫 Don’t ignore your symptoms
Ongoing irritation can start to impact your vision and daily comfort.
✔️ Do this instead: Use allergy-friendly eye drops and monitor how your eyes feel.

🚫 Don’t let allergens build up
Pollen and dust can cling to your lashes and eyelids throughout the day.
✔️ Do this instead: Gently wash your face and eyelids, especially after being outside.
