Today I feel like I got punched in the gut. I don’t know if anyone else is feeling this way but as a child I spent summers with my grandparents. I don’t faithfully listen to country, but recently I have been listening to some “Old” country. So Dolly came into the mix from time to time. I remember my grandparents listening to a few of her songs, and they were a fan of bands many will never know but grandma like Dolly and she like the Mandrell sisters. Them dancing in the living room will always make me smile. I think we lost a very good woman, but I know she is up there with the love of her life. I couldn’t imagine that kind of loss and just picking up but as Dolly said “gotta get back to living”. I know they are up there smiling down, all the good they did and the legacy she leaves behind. If you made it this far, “how are you handling this news”? And if you have a song of hers you love drop the title in the comments. I’ll leave mine there too. Hugs to all the fans.

First attempt at the Japanese Art of Kinusaiga fabric quilting art. Can you tell who this is? I had to try this art form. As a crafter I try everything once usually just to understand the talent that goes into the art. I’d definitely try to use a thinner poly cotton. I used 100% cotton and it was tough process. It was fun and let’s see where it leads my creativity today.
