Okay children gather around for Mama’s story time. Picture it, it’s May 28, 1998 and Scott Rousku opens the doors of TORSO for the first time. He had wondered why he could find the most incredible selection of clothing when traveling, but never anything interesting in Columbus, Ohio. Well sweetie, he changed the scene for fashion in the Short North and hasn’t looked back since! From his days as a gay bar waiter in Florida leaving work at 4am to drive to Key West for more fun, to being Drummer Boy for the leading leather community magazine and even a bit of dabbling in the drag scene, he has done it all at least twice! Columbus & the Short North would not be as colorful nor as unapologetically q***r if it weren’t for Scott and his dream of offering exciting colorful clothing for people who are indeed comfortable in their own skin.
