Lit Kicks : “Make It Happen”
This design is inspired by Terry’s childhood memories and the moments that helped shape him. The phrase “Make It Happen” was instilled in him by his mother at an early age. She taught him that if you want something in life, you have to go after it, work for it, and make it happen.
The cardinal has been a meaningful symbol for Terry since the first grade. During a class project about Ohio animals, he chose the red cardinal right away. At first, it was because red was his favorite color, but over time, the cardinal came to represent something much deeper.
The summer before that school year, Terry lost his cousin. He would often catch sight of a cardinal, and it became a comforting reminder of the loved one he had lost. To him, the cardinal represents memory, love, and the belief that those we lose are still with us in spirit.
Together, “Make It Happen” and the cardinal tell a story of family, perseverance, remembrance, and purpose.
