What started as a live painting here in Pickerington has finally come to life in my studio!
I wanted to create something that represents unity, community, and the strength we have when we come together. With a tiger and a panther sharing one face, “Together” represents both Pickerington, OH high schools. Two schools, two identities, but one community with a shared future.
As we approach the upcoming election and the school tax levy on the ballot, I've been thinking a lot about what our schools mean to our children, our families, and our community.
Regardless of which side of town we live on or which colors we wear, our children are all part of the same community. My hope is that this painting reminds us of what connects us and encourages thoughtful conversations about the future of our schools.
This painting will be on display at Ruby Joy Boutique starting tomorrow until the election is over. It IS available for purchase and I also have prints available on my website.
If you're a Pickerington local and want to do a pickup instead of ship, just let me know and I'll refund shipping!
