Hey there 👋🏻 This post has nothing to do with clothing, business, or wearing the right colors. It’s a little raw truth. Behind those sunglasses were A LOT of tears this week. 🥹
Taking my son to college has been a deal. If you know me, you know I’ve been struggling. (I made it FOUR whole days without going back to Lincoln!! 👏🏻😂)
To all you mommas sending your kiddos off to college… it is NOT for the faint of heart. 🥹 I know they’re off to do big things. We raised them to spread their wings, chase their dreams, and find their own way. And we’re SO proud of them.
But dang… it’s hard. ❤️
It’s okay to take a minute to grieve the newness of it all. The family dynamics are different. The house is quiet… and I don’t really love the quiet. And the little one still at home doesn’t love it either.
So we went for a sleepover, added a little retail therapy, and today our hearts feel a whole lot fuller. 🫶🏻
Momma, give yourself some grace. You don’t have to pretend you’re fine every minute. It’s okay to miss them. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to feel ALL the things.
And to those mommas who aren’t sending a kiddo off to college but are navigating something much harder right now… I see you, too. You are loved, you are prayed for, and you are never alone. 🙏🏼❤️
So on this Sunday, I’m sending you big hugs, lots of prayers, and a little reminder:
It’s okay to feel all the things.
Give yourself grace.
And remember… this new chapter will find its rhythm. 🫶🏻
Much love,
Amy 🩷🙏🏼
