A deeper look into a c. 1921 evening gown with a unique wrap feature as part of the collection of the New Canaan Museum.

Although the dress does not feature a label, many designers, such as Charles Worth and Paul Poiret created similar design designs during this period.

Many thanks to Parker who helped me research this gown!

Does YOUR museum have costumes like these?! It’s like history inception!

I am very excited to pull out the 1876 “colonial” costumes that were worn to celebrate the Grand Centennial Ball over 100 years ago. I want to see how accurate they are to real colonial clothes!

Does anyone have thoughts on this dress and its date because I’ve run out of ideas. I’m pretty confident in c. 1969 but honestly who knows? PLEASE give all information when you donate things to museums haha.
