Slicing through the heart of the ancient Inca Empire, from the Peruvian Andes to the Amazon Basin, the Paucartambo River plunges 14,000 feet in 250 miles. During the 1985 rainy season, a
team of US kayakers set out to run the whole river.

Paucartambo: The Rest of the River ~ (58 min)
In 1986, just as the rainy season began, an expanded team that included two women for the first time in a kayaking expedition film, tried again. The film about this amazing descent won the People’s Choice Award at Banff Mountainfilm.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of these two groundbreaking expedition films, seven-time Emmy Award winning director John Armstrong has remastered the original 16mm films into stunning 4K.
The two films will be shown back-to-back with a brief intermission after which John will do a Q and A.
