… the stoutest day of field work ever …
+ STIKINE STAKEOUT now live!

For the past three years, friend of IR Rye Hester has been returning to the Stikine River—not just to paddle it, but to study it.
As a geologist, Rye has been researching the canyon’s geomorphology and depositional history. (big words!) All working to better understand sections of the Stikine that still hold some unanswered questions.
The catch??? The field site happens to be one of the BIGGEST, most committing, and highest-quality whitewater rivers on Earth.
Year three of the project is documented in Rye’s latest film. It’s part geology fieldwork, part expedition kayaking, and a pretty good look at what happens when your research area requires a kayak to access.
