Exciting News: We’re Rebranding!

After much thought, reflection, and personal growth, we’re thrilled to announce that Babygenix is now opening a sub-brand EliMae Co. 🎉

What started as a passion for organic baby products has blossomed into something even more personal and meaningful. Inspired by the changes in our own family journey, we’ve decided to shift our focus from baby essentials to handmade, thoughtfully crafted kids clothing.

This transition reflects not only our evolving vision, but also our desire to grow with your family—just as ours has grown. EliMae Co. represents warmth, creativity, and the heart behind every stitch. Each piece is lovingly designed to celebrate the magic of childhood and the uniqueness of every little one.

A little about the brand:
I took years of cloth diapering experience, practice and experimentation and developed a small line of pocket diapers for my very own brand. I took my favorite features from all the incredible cloth diaper brands I’ve used along our journey and I created something that includes all of those incredible features! This line has been years in the making but I always found an excuse not to pull the trigger. In 2024, I decided to go for it and I’m proud to say that 2025 brings the babygenix cloth diaper line.

Our cloth diapers include:
• A thick back elastic for comfort
• AWJ lining to give a cooling, stay-dry feeling
• Hip snaps for better fit
• Crossover snaps so you can tightly wrap up dirties while you’re out
• Extra rise settings for a larger sizing range to truly give you a one-size diaper that will follow your little one from birth to potty training!

Get that diaper fit!

Step 1: Pinch the diaper so the elastics fit into the groin crease
Step 2: Pull the front of the diaper over the hip toward the tab
Step 3: Snap the hip snap first, where the diaper is comfortable, but not too tight
Step 4: Snap the waist snaps 2 snaps in from the hip snap
Step 5: Push the extra rise fabric UP
Step 6: Check for leg gaps
Step 7: Admire your work!

Important notes:
• There SHOULD be a gap at the top of the diaper, enough to fit two fingers vertically!
• The diaper should fit snuggly but should not be tight! Your baby’s belly/hips should not be rolling over your diaper.
• Your snap placement does not have to be even on both sides! You can have two visible rows of snaps on the left and three on the right.

Washing Cloth Diapers

Prepping Diapers: Before using your cloth diapers for the first time, it’s important to prep them. This usually involves washing and drying them one or multiple times to increase absorbency and remove any residues. Typically synthetic or semi-synthetic fabrics like the PUL (water resistant covers), polyester and bamboo only need one wash where some cotton and h**p cotton blends could take upwards of 10 washes before reaching their maximum absorbency!

Drying between washes isn’t needed and for younger babies or newborns, the full absorbency isn’t needed straight away either, it’s totally fine to prep-as-you-go!

We recommend that you wash your pocket diapers once before use and your inserts at least twice before use! You may run two back to back cycles!

Washing your Diapers: Don’t overcomplicate it!

Our recommendation is:
First cycle - hot, rinse cycle, no detergent
Second cycle - hot, heavy duty cycle, with detergent, extra rinse
Optional - hot, rinse cycle, no detergent (to ensure all detergent has been rinsed thoroughly)
