What are the stages of the Reinsman Equestrian bits and what do they do?

Stage A are snaffle bits which are beneficial for starting horses, training, or maintaining a steady contact. These bits do not have leverage and are a 1:1 ratio. Snaffles come with a variety of mouth pieces. Curb chains are optional with these bits.

Stage B bits are great for introducing leverage and curb pressure. These bits have short shanks for the introduction of leverage for a longer response time so your horse has time to think. Short shanks allow for increased time to allow for your horse to think about what you're asking, while longer shanks are a quicker response. Curb chains are suggested with these bites.

Stage C bits mean your horse works well while you're riding with one hand and neck reins consistently. Your horse should respond well to pole pressure and yield to light pressure. These bits features include solid mouth pieces, cheek attachments, and swivel cheeks with jointed mouthpieces or medium to low ports. Curb chains are suggested with these bits.

Stage D bits are all about refinement with subtle cues and quick communication. Bit characteristics include increased leverage (longer shanks), more sophisticated mouthpieces, and can often incorporate higher ports.
