A little peek at some of the fun projects I’ve been working on lately that aren’t alterations! 🪡✨

I love getting the chance to switch gears and work on something a little different. This custom Roman shade was such a fun project, and I’m so happy with how it turned out in its space. I’ve also been working on a needlepoint project, with a shoutout to Bill Dawn Joseph for making the beautiful needlepoint! I just get the fun part of turning it into something finished.

Alterations keep me plenty busy, but I really enjoy getting to take on different kinds of sewing projects too. It’s always fun to change things up and see a project come together from start to finish. 🤍

I’ve had a lot of people asking when I’ll be starting sewing classes again. I had to take a little pause, but I’m happy to say classes will be starting back up this fall! I truly appreciate everyone who has reached out and shown interest. More details will be coming soon!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to my Basics of Sewing Workshop tonight! 🤍🤍

It truly means a lot that you chose to spend your evening learning with me. Watching everyone gain confidence, ask questions, and create something with their own hands is my favorite part of teaching. I hope you left feeling inspired to keep sewing, and I can't wait to see what you make next!

Exciting things are coming!

We're launching a series of monthly sewing workshops, and we can't wait to share them with you. Whether you're brand new to sewing or looking to sharpen your skills, these workshops will feature fun, practical projects that you can take home and enjoy.

•June 16th, June 30th and July 14th from 6:00-7:00pm we will have a basics of sewing class. Each class covers the same material - you only need to attend one of these dates!

New to sewing or need help getting comfortable with your machine? This class focuses on learning the parts and functions of your sewing machine, proper setup, threading, basic maintenance, and essential sewing techniques. Students will practice sewing straight lines, corners, and simple seams while building the confidence needed to begin future sewing projects.

•June 25th from 6:00pm-8:00pm we will host the first of our monthly sewing workshops.

Our first project will be a custom Bible/Book Bag, with many more creative projects planned throughout the year. Each workshop includes all materials, step-by-step instruction, and a welcoming environment to learn and create and you get a finished project at the end of the 2 hour class.

•June 27th from 10:00am-2:00pm is our Make your Own Bikini Workshop.

Create a custom bikini that's uniquely yours! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn techniques for working with stretch fabrics, elastic, and swimwear construction while sewing your own bikini. Perfect for adventurous beginners and experienced sewists alike. And lunch is included!

•July 13th-July 17th from 8:00am-10:00am is our Kids Sewing Summer Camp for ages 10-14.

A fun and creative camp where kids will learn basic sewing skills, sewing machine safety, fabric fundamentals, and beginner project construction. Campers will complete hands-on projects, build confidence, and take home their creations while exploring their creativity in a supportive environment.
