Custom hat order for an Air Force veteran with a history. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø One celebrates Americaā€™s 1776ā€“2026 Semiquincentennial with a Hermann Oak leather flag patch. The other honors a veteranā€™s time in the 405th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, maintaining F-15 fighter guns and missile pylons. Itā€™s a pleasure to work on this for a veteran. Both patches use hydbond adhesive and were applied using the Stahl's heat and hat presses. Done in-house.

Big things are headed to the workshop! šŸ› ļø

I just returned from visiting the incredible team at MJ Foley Co. in Michigan, and Iā€™m so grateful for the expertise of Luke Westbrook (in photo with me) and Jamie Oliver. Weā€™ve spent the last few months collaborating on a custom configuration for the Duerkopp (ā€œDurkoppā€) Adler 669-180010, and it is finally ready for shipment! Iā€™m so glad I could stop in to meet the team and go over the new machine in person before it heads our way.

For the last year and a half, Iā€™ve tested several manual binders, but none of them delivered the meaningful quality I strive for. This machine is truly differentā€”with its oscillating binder arm and synchronized movement, the binder and presser foot work in perfect harmony.

A huge thanks also to Tennessee Attachments for crafting a custom binder to meet our specifications. Investing in the right tools is what allows us to keep our focus on quality and intentional design. I canā€™t wait to get this running in the shop!

Beautiful Italian calf leather on the exterior, prized soft and smooth, matte French calf on the interior lining. Handstitched. Made in the USA.

45 Year Old Bible Restoration - Before and After Photos

My 45 year old Bible restoration is now complete. Featuring beautiful Italian veg tan leather on the exterior and a soft and supple black lambskin on the lining. I learned much and know of many things to improve for the next one. I added Beresford ribbons and a tasseled lambskin bookmark for good measure. The cover is machine sewn.
