SpectrUM is the undergraduate LGTBQ+ and allied student organization for the University of Miami. They vary from movie nights and game nights to discussions about LGBTQ+ news and topics. Besides our regular meetings, we have two annual programming weeks: Coming Out Week (COW) in the fall and Pride Awareness Week (PAW) in the spring. We also host DragOut, an annual drag show competition and charity
fundraiser at the Rathskeller every spring. We also participate in UM's Homecoming in the fall and Tunnel of Oppression during Social Justice Week in the spring. We send weekly emails via our listserv, you can be added by emailing us at "[email protected]" with your name and email address! If you can't make it to our meetings or events, visit us sometime in our office in the Shalala Student Center (SC 210-K). There are plenty of members that hang out between classes, eat lunch there, and the door is always open for anyone new! We have a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, and computer available for student use.
