We had an amazing time at church today! Our guest speaker Dr Robert Diggs preached a dynamic sermon entitled Jesus Will Work it Out from John 8:1-11. Background; Dr Diggs shared a story about a sharecropper who had an opportunity to purchase land from the owner who told him how much it would cost him. After he saved the money he went to the owner and presented him with the money. The owner told him he owed more because taxes were up.He told him he had 30 days to give him the money or the land round be auctioned. The man was very sad. His wife told him to trustGod snd he would make things better. He did not believe her but she went to to get church and told them what happened. They took up a love offering and gave her $134.00. From the text Jesus went up to Mt Olives where the Pharisees brought a woman who was caught in adultery to Jesus to see what he would say about her sin. This was a set up because the woman was alone. Where was the man? Three main points: 1. Jesus will be put his hand on the problem. Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground. Jesus always has a solution . Jesus was delaying to give the right answer to tie Pharisees. He had a word for her to bring about deliverance. 2. Jesus will put your haters in their place. Jesus asked the question who is without sin cast a stone at the woman. No one could throw a stone at the woman.3. Jesus will put himself in your position.Jesus asked her where are your accusers? No one condemned her. Jesus said I do not condemn you rigger.Jesus is a God of a second chance. He told her to go and sin no more. He hates all of our sins. But he loves all of us. Back to the story- when it was time for the sharecropper’s land to be auctioned a storm came but his wife made it to the court with the $134.09 No one was there except the owner and the man’s wife. The judge told the owner that he could not.bid on his own property. The judge asked the sharecroppers wife did she want to bid on the property. She said yes and gave him the $134. Jesus will work things out for us! What word! To God be the Glory!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
