🗝️ SKELETON KEY CORNER HAS ARRIVED. 🖤

I’ve been workin’ day in and day out on something I’ve been really excited about, and it’s finally ready!!

Skeleton Key Trading Co. now has a little shelf of its own inside my Mema’s store. If you’ve been following along for a while, you may remember that about a year ago I shared the bittersweet news that my Mema was closin’ the doors to her original store after the property was sold to make way for the new Waffle House. What I never really got around to sharing was that she found a new space and reopened. 🖤

Since my grandfather passed, I’ve really been tryin’ to spend more time with Mema and be involved in this new chapter with her life and the store — helpin’ where I can and keepin’ things going. In doing so she has invited me to set a little space of my own within hers. 🥰🥰

So now The Key has is very onwn shelf that I have filled with a rotating mix of vintage finds, old books, pretty dishes, home/handmade pieces, useful odds & ends, and all the strange little treasures I can’t seem to leave behind when I’m out pickin’.

Everything is individually priced and ready to find a new home.

This is just the start. I’ll be addin’ and changin’ things as I find new pieces, so the shelf should always have something different to discover.

So if y’all are in the area, come by, browse the store, and stop by the Skeleton Key shelf while you’re there. You never know what you might find. 🗝️

I don’t always have time to show some of my personal projects so I am excited to share this one! 🖤🪑

I snagged four of these chairs for FREE off of Facebook Marketplace! These are American folk/vernacular ladder-back chairs, circa 1915 and I am staining them to match a little breakfast nook table in my house.

I am so excited for my little set to come together even though I almost hate to do it! The stripped sanded wood is so pretty! Can you imagine these in a mix of other vintage wooden chairs for a wedding set up?! Y’all I would die and go straight to heaven. 🤩🫠

But don’t worry! They will be just as stunning with my table! I’ll be sure to show y’all the finished look! 😊☺️🖤

Here’s a little peek at my personal BE ON THE LOOKOUT list that I’ve put together for the season!

Fall is one of my favorite times of year — and not because of the weather or pumpkin spice. I’m a summer girlie at heart, BUT fall gives me the perfect excuse to really flex my dark girl aesthetic.

Y’all already know I love that dark stuff. Give me something deep, rich, luxe, a little moody, and just the right amount of Southern Gothic witchy and I’m SOLD. 🕯️🖤🍂

Well… don’t worry y’all, I haven’t disappeared. I’ve just been busy.

Skeleton Key has been a little quiet lately while I’ve been designing and curating for clients, collecting new vintage treasures, and working on some handmade pieces of my own.

But I have something fun to finally announce… 👀

Skeleton Key Trading Co. will be at the 3rd Annual Half-Dead Car Show & Festival in Clarkesville on Halloween! 🎃

I’ll be bringing along a weird and wonderful mix of vintage finds, handmade décor, spooky treasures, and all sorts of little things for your home.

Some projects take a little longer than expected between schedules, sourcing, and making sure every detail feels just right. This tater box was one of those pieces, and I gotta to say, it ended up being one of my favorites.

This sweetheart has been refinished inside and out, with fresh stain and new shelf liner to give her a warm glow and a second life. 🥰🥰🖤

Thank you, as always, to the wonderful people I have the privilege of working for, for trusting me with your treasured pieces. I can’t wait for this Southern belle to be back home where she belongs. 🥔🧅🌸🏠
