Yesterday I took Harper to the shoppe while the boys were at wrestling. She helped pick out everything in this tray, and if you ask her, the pink flowers are definitely the star of the show.

While I was filming this video, I found myself wanting to edit out all the imperfections. The Nerf gun leaning against the wall. The toys scattered around. The wall that used to have decor on it but is currently sitting half-finished while I figure out what I want to do with it next.

And then there were the kids in the background, laughing and playing. I almost edited their giggles out too.

But the more I watched the video, the more I realized those things are our home right now. Not the perfectly styled corners or the staged moments, but the real-life pieces of this season we’re in.

I think our homes should be filled with things we love. Beautiful flowers and favorite decor, yes. But also laughter, signs of life, projects in progress, and the little reminders that people actually live there.

It may not be perfect, but it’s ours. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way

One thing I’ve learned is that no business succeeds without great people behind it and one of the hardest parts is saying goodbye to good people. People I've spent day in and day out with for months on end.

I want to take a minute to thank two of our team members who are taking leaps of faith into new adventures.

Aubrey has been with us for the last 8 months and has been such a blessing. Not only does she never know a stranger, but she’s creative, hardworking, and has helped all of us with fashion while gently reminding us what made us “old.” 😉 We wish her nothing but the best as she starts her big girl job in the windy city.

And Dakota… where do I even start? She is my right hand. If I needed something, it got done. She became a familiar face in the shoppe and someone our customers loved seeing. I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done over the last year. I know this wasn’t an easy decision, but we all have to do what’s best for our families. You’re not going to regret getting those extra days with your littles.

To both of you: thank you for being part of our story. We are cheering you on every step of the way.
