I dug into my needlepoint collection and have been experimenting with the Basket Tote by Sew Can She. The second picture is a needlepoint that my mom made! โ™ฅ๏ธ. I discovered a different way to make the handles; it's time consuming but worth it. I also added a zipper.
I love how huge this bag is when opened!
I'll be taking these to The Fabric Chicken once I get a price figured out.

Finishing up the first wall decor installation at The Fabric Chicken. I cut these out from a cardboard box! I drew the seam ripper and needle ๐Ÿชก free hand but printed the scissors โœ‚๏ธ from a design on Pinterest. Surprisingly, there were no injuries ๐Ÿ˜œ

Just completed another upcycled Basket Tote by Sew Can She. It's made from a quilted pillow sham and scraps from an upholstery sample book. The original pattern called for a magnetic snap closure but I opted for a zipper. This bag is bigger than it looks (16" x 11")!

Last week, Amy at The Fabric Chicken asked me if I'd be interested in participating in a demonstration during Corning's Farmer's Market. I willingly accepted before I even knew what I wanted to demonstrate! Over the weekend I played around with some quilt scraps and an unusable quilt. After completing abandoning my original idea, I made the Sew Can She Basket Tote! I took some liberties with the pattern pockets and handles. I absolutely love this bag! The unusual shape really complements the unique design.
I'm not sure when my demonstration is ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ˜…, but I'll be fine-tuning my technique this week.

I'm not sure why anyone would donate this gem of a quilt, but thank you! I used almost every square inch to make this funnel neck pullover ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿฉถ I even removed, resized, and reused the binding! It's a high-low with a split seam cuff. It's lined with blue flannel.

I bought a Magcubic projector and have dug into projector sewing! Rather than print patterns and tape it all together ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ, I just project the pattern on to my table. I am choosing to cut out pattern pieces on tracing paper rather than cut fabric directly from the projection.

It's involved (not going to lie!) especially with my iPad Pro, but after following Facebook Projector Sewing Groups, trial and error, and watching videos, I figured it out! I cannot give any advice at this point ๐Ÿ˜œ.

Just finished this funnel neck high-low boxy pullover ๐Ÿ˜. It'll be available at on Market Street in Corning, NY!

It's made using a basic oversized hoodie pattern that I turned into a funnel neck ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ with a high/low detail and a split seam cuff. The binding is made from vintage floral cotton fabric.

Thanks to Canva, I was able to design this oversized thread spool for the window display at The Fabric Chicken. We still have to add the thread, so stay tuned! ๐Ÿ”

Made from an oatmeal cardboard container, a cardboard box, and scrap paper from a paper factory (in my hometown...yes, I have a roll of remnant paper!).
