This upcoming weekend will officially be our last weekend with the Crooked Christi pop-up shop inside the Corpus Christi Trade Center.
And this one means a lot to us.
A year and a half ago, we opened our official pop-up shop inside the Trade Center. Since then, we’ve met so many new faces, gained new supporters, built real relationships, and watched people walk through those doors specifically looking for Crooked Christi. For that, we’ll always be grateful.
For those who are new here, Crooked Christi didn’t start at the Trade Center. We’ve been pushing our brand since 2013. Our first official tent pop-up was at the Day of the Dead Festival downtown that same year.
And in the beginning, it wasn’t easy.
The name alone caused confusion. Some thought we were calling Corpus Christi “crooked.” Some even thought we were gang affiliated. Today some think it is about city politics. There was always something being said in the background.
But we kept going.
We kept going because we knew what we were building came from a good place. We felt like Corpus Christi deserved something of its own within streetwear culture. Something that represented where we’re from without trying to be anything else. Something locals could wear with pride and something somebody visiting the city could take home because they thought it was cool too.
That was always the vision.
Over the years, so many of YOU have helped turn that vision into something bigger than we ever imagined. We’ve watched people support us year after year, bring their families around, tell their friends about us, wear our stuff way pass Corpus, and even watched celebrities come into our city to perform and choose to wear Crooked Christi.
Every opportunity, every connection and every moment this brand has experienced has been a blessing in disguise.
We’ve never been the type of brand to force relationships. We don’t do things just to get a pat on the back. We don’t believe we have to fit into anybody else’s circle to prove what we’re doing matters.
We created our own lane.
And we’re going to keep pushing that lane forward like we’ve done since 2013, even when people didn’t understand it, even when people doubted it, and even when some probably thought we wouldn’t still be here.
Today, August 24, 2026, we can finally say something we’ve worked toward for a long time.
**Because of every single one of YOU who has supported Crooked Christi from day one until now, Crooked Christi will officially be opening its own retail store next month.**
No flea market booth. No temporary pop-up.
Our own spot.
This isn’t goodbye to the Trade Center. That place became part of our story, and we’ll always appreciate everybody there who showed us love and everybody who walked through those doors and supported us.
This is simply the next chapter.
From all of us here at Crooked Christi, THANK YOU for the endless love, support, shares, purchases, conversations, encouragement and belief in what we’ve been building all these years.
We hope you’ll continue this journey with us, and we can’t wait to welcome everybody into the new location.
Stay following for all the details.
