Fair is a time for hard work, friendly competition, and a little bit of fun! Throughout the week of the Montezuma County Fair, you'll find donation jars featuring members of the Fair Board, Livestock Committee, and Livestock Superintendents. Members, families, and community members are invited to vote with their dollars by placing donations into the jar of the volunteer they'd most like to see get a pie in the face! At the Mandatory Livestock Sale Meeting, the person in each category who collects the most donations will earn the honor of taking a pie to the face. We'll then auction off the opportunity to be the one who does the pieing, adding even more fun to the event! Our volunteers spend countless hours throughout the year planning and organizing the fair because they care deeply about our youth and our community. This fundraiser is meant to be a lighthearted way to celebrate their willingness to be good sports while raising money for Montezuma County 4-H. All proceeds will help support 4-H member trips, educational programming, leadership opportunities, and supplies that benefit our youth. So, if someone made you wait a little longer in line, your class started a few minutes late, or you just want to see your favorite volunteer wear a little whipped cream, here's your chance! Instead of voicing your frustrations, drop a few dollars in their jar and support a great cause. Let's have some fun, share a few laughs, and make this year's fair one to remember!
