The tumbleweed is rolling… right across Front Street! 🤎

This August, Tumbleweed will be moving into our beautiful new home, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this next chapter with you!

As we get ready for the move, our new space will be a little cozier, which means it’s time to make room for all the incredible new treasures arriving soon.

I figured it might be time for a little introduction 🙂

Hi, I’m Melanie, the owner and baker behind Double Batch Bakery! 🤍

I’m a wife and a stay-at-home mama to twin boys who recently turned 3 (my very own double batch), and a self taught sourdough baker in Cottonwood, California.

Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I worked in the medical field for over 10 years. When my boys were born, I knew I wasn’t ready to return to work after maternity leave because I wanted to be home with my babies. I started searching for a way to contribute to our family’s income while still being present for these precious years.

I’ve always loved baking, but I had never tried making bread or sourdough until 2023. What started as a simple experiment with my very first loaf quickly turned into a true passion—and the rest is history!

Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to do what I love while staying home with my family. I’m so grateful to be part of this wonderful community, and I’m excited to continue to share my sourdough journey with you! 🥖✨
