Some places you visit. Others stick with you. 🌲

Over the last few years, Gavin and I have spent more time getting back outside — finding trails, wandering along rivers, exploring backroads and discovering some pretty incredible places close to home.

Some adventures are just the two of us. Others include family, friends, and of course Bumi — who is convinced every trail and body of water was put there specifically for him. 😂

A lot of the inspiration behind Naughty Goat comes from places just like these. Not because we went looking for it, but because this is where we genuinely love to be.

There are still a whole lot of trails we haven't walked and places we haven't seen — and we're pretty excited about that.

For a lot of years, our weekends had a pretty predictable destination — the soccer field. ⚽

Practices, games, tournaments… watching our girls play was a huge part of our lives, and we wouldn't trade those years for anything.

But somewhere along the way, they grew up. Funny how they do that.

When their high school soccer days came to an end, suddenly our weekends looked a little different. So we started getting back to some of the things we used to love — hiking, exploring, getting outside and seeing where a trail or a backroad might take us.

And we've discovered some new things along the way, too.

Looking back, I think that's part of where Naughty Goat really comes from. Not some carefully planned idea of what an "outdoor brand" should be, but from the life we were already starting to live again.

The soccer fields will always hold some pretty great memories.

These days, we're just exploring different fields. ❤️

Every outdoor lifestyle company needs somebody in charge of field testing.

Meet ours. 🐕

Bumi — Chief Adventure Officer

His responsibilities include inspecting trails, testing swimming holes, monitoring campsites and making sure no unattended snack goes unnoticed.

His performance reviews have been mixed.

Work ethic: 10/10
Outdoor experience: 10/10
Stick management: 12/10
Following directions: What he's lacking here, he makes up for with enthusiasm.

Fortunately, around here we believe in Walking Your Own Path.
