Sidewalk Sales are ON ‘inside’, and we look forward to our Third Thursday rescheduled event next month, August 20th, 5-9pm!

IMPORTANT: As much as it saddens us to say this, we are postponing tonight’s Art at the Depot event to Thursday, August 20 - the final date in our Dusk at the Depot series. The Illinois EPA has declared today a Red Forecast Air Pollution Day, which discourages prolonged outside activities and exertion. We want this event to be a fun, healthy experience for the artists, performers, volunteers - and you. Please come on August 20th for a combined and expanded event, and enjoy an art-filled evening in the park! Thank you for your understanding and stay safe today.

Transport yourself from Crystal Lake to Paris, France 🇫🇷 tomorrow evening at 7:15pm! We’re so excited for this 🤩

The Judith Svalander Dance Theater is proud to be performing at the Depot Park Thursday evening, July 16th at 7:15 pm. “An Evening in Paris” is short ballet with choreography by Svalander, music by Cole Porter, and the cancan music of Jacques Offenbach, and dancers costumes in original designs inspired by Toulouse-Lautrec. Reminiscent of days on the Champs-Élysées, you will feel transported by the performances of from an array of characters. A tourist explores the city while an artist and mime embody the spirit of Parisian culture. The lively energy continues with performances from the jeune fille and mischievous prankster. The drama of love is exemplified through the dancing of the Apache couple. Altogether, the dancing will carry you away to the City of Light - an experience you cannot miss!

Sidewalk Sales are a skip around the corner! Make a note on your calendar to shop small & save big while soaking up the summer sun in Downtown Crystal Lake! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ July 16, 17, and 18. Hours vary, but prime shopping time is 10 - 5.

July 16 is also Art at the Depot - an evening Art Fair in the new park with 20+ local artists, the Peter Swenson Jazz Trio, and a performance by Judith Svalander School of Ballet Dance Theater. Shop the Sidewalk Sales (many stores are staying open later on the first day) and then head down to the park for an artful, fun evening!

What is an AFO?

"Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFOs) are SUPPORTIVE BRACES designed to control the position and motion of the ankle, compensate for muscle weakness, and correct structural differences."

Fitting an AFO into a regular shoe is tough because the brace adds significant bulk, rigid plastics or carbon fiber prevent the shoe from flexing, and it requires extra depth and wider openings to slide in smoothly.
