WORTH A READ:
Story behind a simple photo… An adult son wanted to get his mom, a cancer patient in Raleigh, NC, a ‘better’ pair of shoes.
A week later, we got word (via text) that “She put the shoes on by herself this morning!” and said “They were meant for me!”🥳
More texts came in….
“Fits like a glove.”
“Seems to grip the floor not to the point of tripping.”
“Comfortable as can be.”
“Put ‘em on and just slid them in like a commercial on tv!”😃

It's our 33rd Johnny Appleseed Festival with a few fun, new updates!
The tradition continues with the 33nd annual Johnny Appleseed Festival in Downtown Crystal Lake! This all-day event brings families and the community together to kick-off the fall season and all of its delights.
Highlights this year include:
🍎 An expanded Taste of Downtown & music experience at the new Depot Park. We’re bringing the different flavors that our downtown has to offer in one convenient location, Enjoy live music, great local food, and beer/cider/wine/NA beverages on Friday, September 25 from 4 PM - 9 PM and Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM - 8 PM.
🍎 Petting zoo, wagon ride, pumpkin train, games and inflatables - all in the parking lot adjacent to Depot Park
🍎 Farmers Market, craft fair, and activities down Williams Street!
