2:30pm- Tee-Off
6:00pm- Happy Hour @ Tourney HQ - 1714 Shumard Oak Lane
7:00pm- Dinner
8:00pm- Awards and Prizes

2nd Annual Herb Tarlek Memorial Bad Plaid Golf Tournament


FOREMAT: “Step-Aside” Scramble w/ Magic Putt

In a “step-aside” scramble each player will hit a drive on every hole. Once the next shot is selected, the player who hit the accepted shot will “Step-Aside” and NOT have a turn to hit.

Example: Team Plaid is playing a Par Five-
Drive: Player #1 hits a drive 300 yards down the middle of the fairway and is the selected shot.
2nd Shot: Player #1 will “STEP-ASIDE”. Only players 2,3 & 4 will hit the next shot. Player #2 hits the ball in the fairway 120 yards from the green and is the selected shot.
3rd Shot: Player #2 will “STEP-ASIDE.” Only players 1,3 & 4 can hit the next shot. Player #3 hits the ball 15 yards to the right of the green and is the selected shot.
4th Shote: Player #3 will “Step-Aside.” Only players 1,2 & 4 can hit the next shot. Player #4 hits the ball on to the green 12’ from the pin and is the selected shot.
5th Shot: Now on the green, ALL PLAYERS will putt.

MAGIC PUTT: The “Magic Putt” is where the team elects to decide that a ball may be considered a made putt from anywhere on the green. The Magic Putt must be declared before anyone attempts that shot. Putts made from the fringe DO NOT QUALIFY. ONLY ONE MAGIC PUTT PER TEAM.

Putts “within the leather” are considered made putts.

There are NO Mulligans this year.

Please select one person per team responsible for keeping the score and BRINGING the scorecard to TARLEK CENTRAL on Shumard Oak Lane.

There will be NO SPLITTING OF BIRDIE JUICE!
