Y’all know I always say the most RANDOM things happen to me… and today did not disappoint. 😂

I’m in my office at the showroom when my assistant says, “Tiffany, come out here.”

I walk out and WAKA FLOCKA FLAME is standing in PINK LUCY. 😭

I’m like, “Are you—”

Him: “YES.” 😂

Then he says, “You got my food.”

ME: “HUH?!”

Apparently DoorDash delivered his order to MY showroom instead of the suite next door. 😭😂

So no, Waka didn’t come for a fitting.
He didn’t come for a handbag.
He didn’t come to shop.

DOORDASH SENT HIM. 😂😂😂

And yes… my security cameras caught the whole thing, because nobody would’ve believed me otherwise. 😭

Moral of the story: keep the showroom cute because you never know who DoorDash might send next. 😂

GENERAL PUBLIC. ✈️🇫🇷💗

A former classmate sent me this screenshot after my story randomly popped up in her Google feed, and I’m not going to lie… this one hit a little different.

She wasn’t searching for me.
She wasn’t on my page.
She wasn’t looking up PINK LUCY.

She was simply scrolling Google, and there I was:

“Celebrity designer from Shreveport to headline Paris Fashion Week.”

There’s something incredibly full-circle about someone who knew you in an earlier chapter of your life now seeing your name and your work being introduced to the world in this way.

From Shreveport to Dallas to Paris… the story is traveling.

Community known.
Industry known.
And now we’re coming for GENERAL PUBLIC.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it:

FROM SHREVEPORT TO PARIS. 🇫🇷💗 There are some moments that make you stop and think about every version of yourself that had to keep going so you could become the woman standing here today. To see the words “Celebrity designer from Louisiana will headline Paris Fashion Week” on NOLA.com is one of those moments. New Orleans has always been one of my favorite cities, so to be celebrated by a Louisiana platform connected to a city I love makes this feel even more special.

The little girl from Shreveport with a dream could not have imagined this chapter, but God knew. Every sacrifice, every closed door, every season of rebuilding, every time I had to believe in the vision before I could see the outcome — it was all part of the story. Louisiana made me, Dallas sharpened me, and now PINK LUCY is headed to Paris.

Not just attending. Not just showing up. HEADLINING. Thank you, NOLA.com, for telling my story and giving this Louisiana girl her flowers. And a very special thank you to a woman I admire, respect, and will always honor, Mylitta Butler | Speaker & Author. You have given me opportunities of a lifetime, opened doors I will never take for granted, and believed in me in ways I will forever cherish. Today is deeply personal. 🕊️

August 19 marks the day my mother ascended to Heaven — the woman behind the woman, the inspiration, and the real PINK LUCY.

Before she left, she told me she could do more for me in Heaven than she ever could on Earth. Eight years later, I have watched those words become part of my testimony.

So in her honor, we are celebrating her love, her legacy, and the way she still covers me.

Today marks eight years since my mother left this earth.

I still grieve her deeply, but I also have to acknowledge what I believe she has been doing for me from Heaven.

Before she left, Mama told me, “I can do more for you in Heaven than I could ever do on Earth.” Those words have become the blueprint of my life.

Over the last eight years, I have watched dreams unfold one by one, doors open, and prayers get answered in ways I could never have imagined. And in my heart, I see her in God’s presence still advocating for her baby, reminding Him of every dream I ever told her about.

I hate that my sisters and I had to lose our mother. I hate that our family lost its matriarch, its rock, and its glue. But her presence never truly left us.

I carry her into every room I enter.

Every answered prayer, every impossible door, every dream coming true feels like Mama whispering, “See? I told you.”

Grief is proof of how extraordinary her love was.

Betty Jean Walker, you are still my guiding light, still covering me, and still the matriarch of this family.

I miss you beyond words, Mama. 😥🩷

And I am still becoming everything we talked about.one.
