Manifesting Kishme on the Met Gala steps

Looking back at this winning design for Food in Fashion 2024. I transformed materials into a Marie Antoinette inspired mini robe Ơ la FranƧaise.
From hand-cut circle & teardrop tortillas to chip bags and menus reimagined as bows and pleats, every detail was crafted to bring high-fashion drama to the runway.

Still dreaming about this 70s-meets-country moment. Taking home first place (for the 3rd time) at the Food in Fashion show was such a highlight!

This year’s theme was ā€˜Garden Glam,’ and I always love the challenge of leaning into the avant-garde. The show only required each Designer to use 50% materials from the restaurant, but I decided to go all in—this entire look is 100% crafted from Big Al’s Smokehouse BBQ supplies. I incorporated the theme by hand-crafting every flower and detail entirely out of their checkered paper tray liners and gingham napkins.

Beyond grateful to Big Al’s Smokehouse BBQ & my talented team for helping bring this country-chic vision to life!
