This is how our Vegan Suede Loafers are made in Portugal.

Stitched uppers pulled over the last. Prepped for the outsole. Last removed. Cream EVA outsole attached. Boxed and ready.

Every pair goes through the same process — handcrafted in a family owned factory in Portugal that has been making shoes for decades. This is what it looks like.

The upper is a thick stone vegan suede — substantial enough to be worn with no lining at all, just like a traditional loafer. Your feet rest directly on the material, on top of a 1cm EVA memory foam insole. Flexible cream EVA outsoles. No stiffeners. No extra layers.

Stone colour. Wear with or without socks. Linen trousers to swim shorts, they work with everything.

Introducing the Vegan Suede Loafer.

We've been working on this one for a while. A loafer sounds simple — slip-on, clean lines, timeless silhouette. But getting the construction right took several attempts and a material we hadn't used before.

The traditional way to make a loafer like this is with no lining. Your feet rest directly on the upper material, which is why the quality of that material matters so much. After a lot of testing we found a new vegan suede thick and substantial enough to work without any lining at all. No stiffeners. No extra layers. Just one piece of soft stone vegan suede, shaped into a loafer.

The result is a shoe that feels immediately broken in. Soft against your foot from the first wear, with a 1cm removable EVA memory foam insole that makes them feel like walking on clouds. The outsoles are flexible cream EVA — the kind of sole you'd find on a quality pair of trainers — grippy, natural underfoot, and built to move with you.

Wear them with or without socks. The stone colour doesn't fight with anything — linen trousers, cargo shorts, swim shorts coming back from the beach, tailored chinos, rolled denim. They sit as comfortably with a more put-together outfit as they do with something thrown on.

Made in Portugal. Hand wash with soapy water if they need a clean, leave to dry naturally.

These are the shoes you reach for without thinking.

Introducing our new Casual Vegan Suede Loafers, landing next week.

This is Ilidio. He's part of our QC team in Portugal, checking through some of the finished pairs before they go to you.

We showed these for the first time at Manchester Vegan Faire earlier this year and the reaction was strong enough to settle it — we're launching them for summer.

We haven't made a loafer constructed like this before. It took several attempts to get them right. The traditional way to make this style is with no lining, and that's what we wanted — but it only works if the upper material is substantial enough to stand alone. After a lot of testing we found a lovely new vegan suede thick enough to make it happen. No stiffeners. No extra layers. Just one piece of soft vegan suede, shaped into a loafer.

Your feet rest directly on the suede and sit on 1cm deep insoles. They are like walking on clouds. Wear them with or without socks — with nothing between you and the material, they breathe properly and easily mould to your foot shape.

The colours are soft neutrals — light grey uppers on flexible EVA cream outsoles that just flow with your outfits combinations. Loose linen trousers on a warm evening. Cargo shorts on a Saturday. Swim shorts coming back from the beach. Tailored chinos. Rolled denim...

If they get dirty, hand wash with soapy water and leave them to dry naturally. That's it.

These are the shoes you reach for without thinking.
