Well hello! 🤗

I suppose I should explain my absence from this page from last year. At the beginning of last year I found out I was pregnant and had to cut back on my sewing work substantially. This led to getting the jobs I had finished and taking on less work the rest of the year and limiting sewing classes so I could remain sane- pregnancy exhaustion is no joke.

With that being said Baby is here, we’re both healthy and out of the newborn trenches, and I am ready to start back up again.

Starting in February I will be by appointment only. Doing alterations, custom jobs and now custom embroidery such as monograms.

At this time I cannot accept last minute jobs and will not be offering sewing classes until further notice.☺️

Wow! As of now all of December’s classes are booked before I could even post them. That’s amazing! If any openings pop up they are on a first come first serve basis and those of you who have messaged me will be first to know.

I will start working on dates for January and post them in the coming days. As of now, group class sizes are capped at 2 people (I’m a one woman show ya know! 😆) Classes are on a first come first serve basis.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: 📣❤️

Starting December 1st I will be offering sewing classes. You will NOT need your own machine to join I have plenty you may use, however if you have one you’re welcome to bring it!

Classes will consist of 2 people max, and will run per class.

First class will cover sewing basics and machine care among other things. From there on we’ll start learning how to make smaller projects like a teddy bear or pillows and work towards other projects such as shirts for example. We’ll also cover the basics of small repairs and mending!

This will be an easy going class, fostering creativity and learning a new skill.

I will also offer private classes for those who would rather have a one-on-one experience.

I still have some things to work out before December 1st such as dates for classes, but message me if you have questions or want to sign up! 💕☺️

Not alterations related- but what do you do when you find your dream machine? Restore it and refurbish the sewing desk you’ve had in the corner for years and make it the new quilting workhorse

Found this 1946 Singer 128 Godzilla for free with all original parts. So far I have un-seized the mechanics and got the original motor running like a champ- now onto finishing its future desk so I can get quilting!

Work like this I tend to reinforce with hand stitching to get the curves just right!

Picture one details how I had to self-draft the plunge from the original back pattern. Pictures 2-3 show the work being done.
