I’m obsessed with handbags, but they always conspired to frustrate me. Before I retired I went through bag after bag looking for the ‘one’ that offered the features I most desired.
This was my wish list:
Must be light weight to not stress my shoulder
Must have ample storage that allows for quick retrieval of necessary items
Must open wide enough to see the interior contents
Must be large enough to hold all my ‘must haves’, but not so large it is mistaken for luggage
Must have light colored lining to improve visibility of contents
Must close securely
I never managed to find that perfect handbag. Adding purse organizers and make-up pouches just compounded the overall weight and created even smaller, darker pockets to dig through.
So, after being diagnosed with a disabling eye disease, my compulsion to find a bag with perfect visibility and sensible organization propelled me to design a handbag myself!
I determined early in the design process that the root of most handbag disfunction is that most contents migrate to the bottom because, quite frankly, there’s no other place for things to go. I concluded that even though bags have ample vertical walls space, no bag maker was adequately exploiting that feature, so that’s where I first concentrated my efforts.
All design choices were made to ensure maximum content organization and visibility and my hope is that you will find them just as pretty and convenient as I.
My bags have the same overall design but come in two sizes and multiple color combinations.
Each bag has two exterior zip pockets and two exterior slip pockets. The largest bag has 20 interior pockets, and the smaller bag has 16 interior pockets.
Bags come with either shoulder or cross body straps. All are vegan and feature beautiful Cork Leather combined with faux leather or unique and vintage textiles.
