Mod had a VERY special day out this week thanks to our friends at Running Wild Davenport! 🏃♀️🐾
Through Barking Wild, Running Wild helps us spotlight one adoptable shelter dog each month by giving them an extra-special break from shelter life that includes a day out and a run with a Running Wild employee!
This month, Mod got her turn. ❤️
We’ve been learning even more about Mod lately. She spent the weekend with one of our volunteers, and we discovered that she:
🏠 Is wonderfully house trained
🎾 LOVES a good game of fetch with a ball, stuffed animal, or toy
🏃♀️ Is happiest when she has exercise, enrichment, or a “job” to do
❤️ Quickly warmed up to another person in the home and loved going on walks with them
👩🎓 Knows sit, lay down, and shake
For Mod, outings like Barking Wild are more than just a fun adventure, they’re an incredibly important break from the shelter.
Mod is struggling with shelter life. The stress has taken a toll on her, including noticeable weight loss over the past few months. What she really needs now is a foster or adopter who can give her a place to decompress, settle into a routine, and finally exhale.
Mod is an active, smart girl who would thrive with someone looking for a companion to walk, run, play fetch, explore, and stay busy with. She’ll do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the attention for herself. 🥰
Barking Wild gave Mod a great day. Now we’d really love to give her something even better: a home 🏡
