Fleet Feet Springfield is honored to have been selected to award two Fleet Feet Wild Cards, one to a male athlete and one to a female athlete in our community! A Fleet Feet Wild Card is a complimentary entry to the Brooks Northeast XC Championship and is awarded to athletes who have demonstrated strong performances, leadership, and a positive impact on their local running community. For our area, we want to include the coaches in this decision making process. To submit athletes for nomination, please fill out this Google Form linked in our bio.
The criteria we’re looking for to select the best athlete are:
- A top XC Returner in your district.
- A team leader known for his/her dedication to the sport and a shining example to his/her peers.
- A person who is involved in community initiatives (including but not limited to school clubs, non-profit organizations, local development, religious groups, etc.).
- An athlete looking to elevate their career through postseason championship opportunities like the Brooks Northeast XC.
Only coaches and administrators can nominate, but anyone can help by spreading the word and reaching out to us with any questions!
