My sons grow two shoe sizes per summer! It felt so wasteful to buy expensive new clothes that our kids would only wear for a short time. In this beautiful corner of NE Iowa, you have to travel pretty far t

o sell or to buy used kids clothes. We saw a need here in Decorah and in the surrounding communities and decided that we could provide a solution. We want to provide an easy way to make some money on those kids clothes and gear that you don’t need any more. We’re also providing a place to find quality kids clothes and gear at reasonable prices. We’ll be buying and selling clothes, shoes, toys, strollers, sports gear, maternity wear, and more. Sort through those closets and come on in!

‼️Just a friendly reminder that we are NOT accepting Monday drop offs today at The Getup due to a high volume of buys/items that need to be processed‼️

Here’s what you can do instead:

✅ Sign up for a selling appointment online at thegetupdecorah.com! We are still buying by appointment on Tuesday - Friday during the week!

✅ Make sure you’re bringing us you BEST 25 items of Fall & Winter clothes & accessories!

✅ Shop sustainably with us! We have hundreds of new to you items hitting the floor daily!

ICYMI: We’re taking a Monday buying pause starting this coming Monday, August 31st!

This means we will not be accepting Monday drop offs on:

August 31st
September 7th
September 14th
September 21st
September 28th

Monday drop offs will resume on October 5th unless you hear otherwise — we will keep you posted on our social media!

Our Tuesday - Friday appointments will be continuing as normal during this time, so if you would like to sell us your best 25 items, you can sign up for an appointment online! New appointments become available at 5 PM on Sunday evenings at thegetupdecorah.com!

Thank you for your patience & for bringing us such amazing items! We feel grateful that you want to bring us your quality items. 🥰 We just need time to process & get all these goodies out on the floor! ✨

‼️ ATTENTION SELLERS‼️

WE WILL BE TAKING A MONDAY DROP OFF BUYING PAUSE STARTING AUGUST 31st THROUGH SEPTEMBER 26th!

This means we will NOT be accepting Monday drop offs this coming Monday & all Monday’s in September!

This buying pause only affects Mondays — we will still have appointments available to sell to us Tuesday - Friday!

We are taking this pause to get caught up with all the drop offs (with *amazing* items!!) we’ve been getting! 🤩

We are currently processing buys brought in on Monday, August 3rd, so if you’ve dropped off after that date, it may still be a few weeks before you hear from us with an offer!

We are also asking that you please respect the 25 item limit with your drop offs — it allows us to accommodate more people to drop off, it’s quicker for us to processes and you’ll get your offer faster!

As always, THANK YOU for your patience & understanding as we adjust our schedule last minute! We also appreciate that you bring your best items to us, we truly couldn’t do it without you! 💞

Wow, friends! It’s nights like these that make you realize how much clothing there is to pass along & share! 💞

We love being able to provide free clothing for our community. There are some really great items available! And so much inventory from kids clothes to adult sizes, as well as shoes, coats, and lots of hats & mittens!

These items were donated when people brought them in to sell to us — they may not be “perfect”, but they still can be kept in the cycle of use and that makes us happy!

We also recognize that back to school time can be expensive, so we hope this can alleviate some stress & that families are able to find what they’re needing! Come take as much or as little as you need! ♥️

All Decorah School families are welcome to attend tomorrow (Thursday, 8/20) from 3 PM - 5:30 PM in the West Side gym (301 Center Street)! Hope to see you tomorrow! 😊

School is right around the corner & we have so many amazing back to school clothes at The Getup!

Annnd it gave us another reason to use these fabulous photos from our talented friend Sara Hageman Photography. A few months ago, she reached out to do a 90’s photoshoot collab — we supplied the clothes and she did all the rest! 🤩🙌

We’re open from 10-6 on Saturday & 11-3 on Sunday! Lots of new-to-you items will be put out on the floor this weekend! Come see what treasures you find! 🥰
