I love and believe that anyone involved is lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community of people. A community that wouldn't exist without the officials who call the games. I have become more aware that our officials are being treated poorly by players and spectators. I find this behavior intolerable. Many officials are students or former players working part time jobs that they love. For them to have to endure being yelled at and called names because someone may not agree with a call is inexcusable. I hope you will all join me in pledging to be kind to our officials. Not only is it the right thing to do, it will help to ensure that we can continue to play organized hockey in a time when officials are increasingly more difficult to find and continue playing this great game for years to come.
