Who is familiar with this mural? It’s a bit hidden.

A little look back at 2020! Mark Niemi and I created this mural for Frank & Lola’s as Casni Studio, with support from the Denison Arts Council.

The name Casni came from combining our two last names—Castelli + Niemi. Together,
Mark and I created public sculptures, murals and other artwork around Denison.

This one became a lively garden filled with oversized flowers, winding leaves and one very watchful bird.

It makes me happy to see it still adding color to downtown Denison. Projects like this are an important part of my creative journey and helped lead me to the work I’m doing today at Loft Art. 💚
